The Comprehensive Course on the Franciscan Mission Charism is a German initiative in the city of Wurzburg. "The wish to re-discover the missionary dimension in Franciscan spirituality and to deepen the understanding of it gave rise during 1982 to the idea of writing a basic course on the theme Mission," the CCFMC website says.
"It was to deal with the charisma of Saint Francis as it is being lived out in the various Franciscan orders and congregations working in widely different cultures.
"In the middle of the 1980s, the plan took concrete shape. The Correspondence Course on Franciscan Missionary Charisma was taken up with enthusiasm by our Brothers and Sisters all over the world, who helped to spread its message. It was not confined to Franciscans alone, people outside the religious orders and congregations also participated.
"And so an intercultural dialogue was started...
The CCFDMC also follows the see - judge - act methodology.
"It calls for a reflection on the causes and consequences of the events and from the perspective of Franciscan/Christian values come up with resolutions that would be translated into action."

This is a new blogstyle website in the process of development by former IYCW international president, Moses Cloete, and former South African and Pan-African YCW chaplain, Jean-Marie Dumortier. "Many of us thought it urgent to collect testimonies on the contribution of the YCW to the history of the Workers’ struggle in South Africa and on its impact on the many leaders who were involved in it," Jean-Marie and Moses write.
"It was decided to launch a blogspot to record, and preserve some part of the history of the YCW in South Africa as a contribution to the struggles of future generations and in memory of times gone by," they say.
Already the site features the story of David Modimoeng, a YCW leader from the Oukasie-Brits area, scene of a long struggle against apartheid.
It also features the speech given by former South African President Nelson Mandela to the IYCW International Council in 1995.
The site promises to be an excellent resource.

Cardijn College was established in 1984 as a joint
project between the South Australian Commission for Catholic Schools
and the Catholic parishes of Noarlunga Downs, Willunga and Morphett
Vale.
According to the college website, its mission is as follows:
|
Cardijn College
is a Catholic school and as such its mission is the integration of our
Catholic faith with the lives of our students, our staff and our parent
body, and to be a witness to our society of the presence of Christ in
the world.
In this context, Cardijn is
committed to providing a high quality education which embraces the full
human growth and development of its students. The school commits itself
to establishing academic excellence in all endeavours.
|
As
a College we believe we are called to participate in the task of
building authentic experiences of community in the school, the parish
and the wider society. We do this through the process developed by
Joseph Cardijn: in reading the sign of the times (SEE), judging this reality in the light of our faith (JUDGE) and reclaiming our fullness of being in Jesus Christ through action (ACT).

The Cuernavaca Center for Intercultural Dialogue on Development describes itself as "an intercultural, ecumenical Christian retreat center
rooted in an inclusive and liberating theology".
Located in Cuernavaca, Mexico, CCIDD was founded in 1977 by former lay missionary, Ray Plankey, with the goal of helping
"churches be more prophetic in the economic and political struggle of Latin Americans".The work of the centre focuses on social justice and ecological issues. Its method is "see-judge-act-evaluate-celebrate". Among others involved in the founding of the centre was Jose Alvarez Icaza, a Mexican member of the Christian Family Movement who had represented the movement at Vatican II.
